I am a proud graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington (B.S., Political Science, 1988: J.D. 1991). I have been in the continuous practice of law since 1991, joining Van Valer Law Firm, LLP in October, 2002. I am a Partner at the firm with primary practice areas in real estate, land use, construction, business law, mediation, and general litigation (including insurance defense/worker’s compensation).
I have dedicated a large part of my professional and private time to community service. I am a Board Member and current President of the Johnson County Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. I am also a Board Member of Aspire Economic Development & Chamber Alliance.
I spent many years as a youth coach in the Center Grove area and continue to support teams at Center Grove High School and the South Central Soccer Academy. I am a past member of the Saints Francis and Clare Pastoral Council and of the School Board.
Professionally, I am a member of the Indiana State and Johnson County Bar Associations. I am a graduate of Leadership Johnson County. I was a long time Board Member and past President of the Builder’s Association of Greater Indianapolis – Johnson County Council, and I serve on the Bargersville Redevelopment Commission.
