I am a Greenwood resident of 37 years with a long history of local government, community and civic service. I served Greenwood under four City administrations, sitting on the Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals, Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission (including as President), and the last 27 years on the Greenwood Board of Public Works and Safety. I am also a member and past President of the Greenwood Redevelopment Commission, and have served as President.

I am a past President of the Johnson County Bar Association, the Greenwood Senior Citizens Center and the Johnson County Senior Services organization, as well as a founding member and past officer of the Johnson County Community Foundation and the Pride and Progress Foundation of Greenwood.

I am a member of Greenwood Christian Church, the Aspire Economic Development & Chamber Alliance (served as President and member of the Board of Directors), and I am a lifetime member of the Greenwood Friends of the Library. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Greenwood Village South.

I have practiced law since 1984 with a primary focus in family law litigation, mediation, estate planning, and probate administration. I am a frequent lecturer on family law and legal ethics issues. I have been honored by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as one of the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys in the State of Indiana.

I am a summa cum laude graduate of Ball State University with a major in Economics and Political Science, and a magna cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law. I am a member of the Johnson County, Indianapolis, and Indiana State Bar Associations, as well as the Ball State University Alumni Association.

I have been married for 35 years to the former Terri Blackburn. I have two daughters, Chelsea and Alyssa, and one granddaughter.
