Kevin A. Hoover, a resident of Greenwood for more than 34 years, has a long history of local government, community and civic service. Mr. Hoover has served Greenwood under four City administrations, sitting on the Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals, Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission (including as President), and the last 24 years on the Greenwood Board of Public Works and Safety. He has also recently been appointed to the Greenwood Redevelopment Commission where he serves as President.
Mr. Hoover is a past-President of the Johnson County Bar Association, the Greenwood Senior Citizens Center and the Johnson County Senior Services organizations, as well as a founding member and past officer of the Johnson County Community Foundation and the Pride and Progress Foundation of Greenwood.
Mr. Hoover is a member of Greenwood Christian Church, the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce (where he served as President and for two terms on the Board of Directors) and is a lifetime member of the Greenwood Friends of the Library. He currently services as Chairman of the Greenwood Republican Committee and also serves on the Board of Directors for Greenwood Village South, a senior living facility.
Mr. Hoover has been an attorney since 1984, and his practice areas include family law litigation, mediation, estate planning, and probate administration. Kevin is a frequent lecturer on family law and legal ethics issues. He has been honored by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as one of the Top 10 Family Law attorneys in the State of Indiana. Mr. Hoover is a summa cum laude graduate of Ball State University, having majored in Economics and Political Science, and magna cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law. He is a member of the Johnson County, Indianapolis, and Indiana State Bar Associations, as well as the Ball State University Alumni Association.
Mr. Hoover and his wife of 32 years, the former Terri Blackburn, have two daughters, Chelsea and Alyssa, and one granddaughter.
