I joined Van Valer Law Firm, LLP in May of 2023, and concentrate my practice in employment litigation in industries including transportation, general contracting, food processing, manufacturing, staffing, retail, medical and financial services. I provide advice on employment and personnel issues, such as employment agreements, severance and separation agreements, employee handbooks, and individual employment policies.
I attended Wake Forest University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Music. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2007.
My litigation experience is comprised of cases across several federal jurisdictions including the Sixth & Seventh Circuits of Appeal and federal district courts in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana and Washington. I have considerable experience with the defense of pay equity, FLSA off-the-clock and misclassification cases, pattern and practice discrimination cases, and Title VII discrimination cases.
I have been selected as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015-present. I reside in Greenwood with my husband and two daughters.
